VISION

In support of the College's Vision of having a culture of a learning community, the MVGFV Library's Mission is to provide resource materials that would assist in developing and deepening their knowledge, skills and attitudes and to inspire them to be life-long learnings and productive citizens in a dynamic, global society.


OBJECTIVES

1.  To select, in collaboration with the academic community, the most appropriate learning materials with the most recent copyright at a cost-effective price and acquire them expeditiously as to satisfy the needs of the students and the goals of the curriculum.

2. To formulate, organize, implement and evaluate programs to encourage the use of library resources.

3. To provide adequate space to house and maintain the learning resources of the library and to make them accessible to both faculty and students.

4. To preserve and protect collections for the benefit of future users.

5. To provide and efficiently administer services to assist library users to discover and make use of information pertinent to their needs.

6. To foster and maintain effective working relationships with the academic and research community, and particularly with other libraries in accordance with common goals and objectives.

7. To provide working areas and an environment which are well maintained, well organized and conducive to both learning and enjoyment while using the library resources.

8. To promote a lifelong interest in reading.

9. To Provide timely and useful reports to management relating to circulation, collection, compliance to policies, extent of library use, deficiencies, areas to improve, new systems and facilities to integrate in the library, and the life.

10. Comply with the policies, standards and guidelines for the library set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
